Deacon Norberto Abrego, CM will be ordained a Vincentian priest in Panama on January 25th, the feast of the foundation of the Congregation, at 10am in St. Joseph’s Church in Colon, Panama. The photo below shows Norberto standing between Juan Aviles, CM, a seminarian, and the Regional Superior, Fr. Alcibiades Guerra, CM.
Norberto is from the coastal area in the province of Colon. He has done his formation in Colombia and Mexico. Since returning to Panama as a deacon last year, Norberto serves in our parishes in Colon (St. Joseph and Miraculous Medal) as well as Jail Ministry.
As the Vincentian Community in Panama commemorates 100 years of service this year, Norberto’s celebration is the first of several scheduled for 2014.
