The Miraculous Medal Magazine of the Eastern Province celebrates the 9 Jubilarians of the Eastern Province. These anniversaries were celebrated May 18 at the 2014 celebration of Vincentian Family Day at the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal in Germantown, PA. (Click on image to enlarge)

It also rejoices in the ordination of Father Norberto Abrego Bonilla, CM on January 25th in Colon, Panama.

This date coincided with the beginning of year-long celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the Eastern Province in Panama.

    Fr. Prior,

    My parents & siblings were members of St Joseph the Worker Parish in Fallsington, PA while you were a pastor. My father (LeRoy Alexander) & his cousin (Ray Morton) were active in the Holy Name Society & the Athletic program.

    On behalf of my siblings I want to offer our congratulations on your 55th Anniversary.

    I want to thank Fr. Thomas Prior and all the wonderful Vincentian priests who taught at St. John’s Prep (Brooklyn) and St John’s University as well, especially those of @ SJP ’61-65.

    Fr. Tom Prior was my senior year American History teacher. His conservative political philosophy was ever in evidence and I think of him often, especially his natural law argument on just why it was he opposed agency shop, union shop, ‘fair share’ provisions in collective bargaining agreements. Although I have spent a lifetime ( 40 years) arguing against his point of view both, as labor union advocate and staff director, I never lost my respect for Fr. Thomas Prior as man and priest.

    Fr. Tom I salute you and I thank you, as do my many classmates ’65 SJP, who applaud your service to others in Christ’s name throughout your lifetime here on earth.
