Our beloved sisters and collaborators of the Daughters of Charity Province of St. Louise welcomed their new Visitatrix and Councillors in an Installation Mass today.
“A blessed day,” said Sr. Jean Rhoads, as she celebrated on her Facebook page the “… new Provincial and Council for our Province!” She praised “… God for Sisters Katie, Janet, Mary Beth, Julie, Mary Fran, Nancy, and Teresa!” And she asks, “Please keep these leaders and all our Sisters in your prayers.”
The new leaders were presented by General Councilor Sr. Marie Raw at a special celebration of the Eucharist. Thomas McKenna, C.M. was the principal celebrant, with concelebrant Patrick Griffin, C.M., who has been lecturing at the Daughter’s annual “Theology Camp.”
You’ll probably know their faces if not their names. The new leadership team is (from left to right in the formal photo ):
Sr. Mary Frances Barnes
Sr. Marie Raw (General Councillor)
Sr. Nancy Murphy
Sr. Catherine Mary (Katie) Norris – Visitatrix
Sr. Janet Keim
Sr. Mary Beth Kubera
Sr. Julie Cutter
Sr. Teresa George
