Rev. Peter D. Goldbach, C.M.
1911 – 2013
It is with sadness that we announce the death of Fr. Peter Goldbach, C.M. With his rosary in hand, he died peacefully at 8:00 a.m., today, April 30. At this time we also thank God for Peter. He was the oldest confrere of the Province, but for him serving the Lord as a dedicated Vincentian priest and confrere placing the needs of others before his own is what gave meaning and importance to his life. He will be missed by his family, confreres and friends.
Funeral details will follow.
“Blessed are those who have died in the Lord;
let them rest from their labors for their good deeds go with them.”
Peter’s meekness, gentleness, and humility give witness to us all of what Pope Francis calls an “unworldly” Church. Even though he spent much of his ministry in administrative jobs, Fr. Goldbach held on to the “one thing necessary.” God give Peter eternal life, and to us a share of Peter’s simple spirit.
