The Catechism of the Catholic Church reminds us that the faith required for baptism is not a perfect and mature faith, but a beginning that is called to develop (CCC 1253). Each time we participate in the Eucharist, we join together as a family to renew our commitment to do what Jesus told us to commit our lives to do. what he did … “wash one another’s feet as he washed ours.”
There are many questions we must all answer regardless of whether we use Twitter or not.
We can read the stories as interesting history detached from our lives. Or we can read the stories seeing parallels with today. We can learn from both the insights and mistakes of our ancestors in faith.
“There is no Christianity without mercy. If all our Christianity does not lead us to mercy, we are on the wrong path.” (Pope Francis) Just as we learn to walk, we must learn to “mercy” from our experience of God mercying us.
We live in God’s house as God’s children. But as children we haven’t matured yet. We neither appreciate the gift itself, nor the love of the giver.
“How was your Easter?” Is our experience of the Resurrection the greatest news we never talk about!

During Holy Week, we should be asking our children… and ourselves… Why is this Holy Week different from every other week? It is the week that challenges ujs to change our minds about the limits we put on love.
Think about Holy Week as the most dramatic and powerful way God, in Jesus, shows us what would happen if we pressed God’s reset button.
Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem is the misunderstanding of all misunderstandings! Their vision was not big enough! Are we much different than the people waving the branches?
