Fr. Tom Hynes, C.M. mentored Tom Sica and I during our novitiate immersion. He was working with the migrant farmworker ministry, along with Bob Lynch, a former confrere and Fr. Steve Grozio, C.M. He impressed my by his ability to enter into the lives of the people. He was gentle, humble, devoted to prayer, and gracious to visitors. His love for the Hispanic immigrants encouraged me to further my understanding and love for the Hispanic ministry.
