Sign of Growth – Vincentian Solidarity Office Hires Associate Director
On December 27, 2017, the Vincentian Solidarity Office (VSO) hired a new Associate Director, Mr. Joseph Lesenko. The employment of a new staff person is part of the plan to increase the capacity of the VSO. Joe began his employment on January 16, 2018. He will be working from the VSO Office at St. Vincent’s Seminary, Philadelphia, PA, USA.
Let me inform you about Joe’s background and work experience. Joe graduated in 1984 with a B.A. Degree in English from Niagara University. He is 59 years old, married to Mary, and with 4 adult daughters, Jeannette, Teresa, Kristen and Kimberly. His wife Mary is a nurse. One daughter is studying for her M.S.W. degree in social work at the Vincentian sponsored DePaul University, Chicago. After his university days, he worked in business. Joe has experience in the banking and finance. He has extensive skills in project management.
In addition, Joe also has life-long ties with the Vincentian Community. His association with the Vincentians began at childhood at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Philadelphia, and several years of formation with the Vincentians in both the high school seminary and college seminary. He brings to the VSO a familiarity with the Vincentian charism, strong writing and organizational skills. He is facile with various computer programs, especially, MS Office. Joe will write grants, develop projects, and manage the finance.
